Divine Haven Homecare and AFH is an Adult Family Home that serves the Madison community. Position: Facility Administrator
Reports to: Director
Position Type: Full Time, Exempt
Office Location: Madison, WI


Essential Duties and Responsibilities of a Facility Administrator:

  • Responsible for the physical and emotional well-being of clients residing in the facility.
  • Direct caregivers and other staff members to ensure that IPP goals are being met and Divine Haven Adult Family Home policies and procedures are complied with.
  • Maintain regular communication with Divine Haven Adult Family Home staff, clients’ family members, case managers, and other involved parties.
  • Perform assessments of new referrals to determine appropriateness. If accepted, complete required forms and initiate placement procedures.
  • Interview, hire, train, supervise and evaluate caregivers/staff.
  • Arrange for the professional development of staff.
  • Submit reports to appropriate regulatory bodies, as required.
  • Participate in Divine Haven Adult Family Home’s management team and other committees, as required.
  • Ensure policies, procedures, and practices are in compliance with State and Local regulations.
  • Monitor and manage controllable expenses such as overtime, telephone, and house supplies.
  • Assist clients with banking and budgeting needs (as needed).
  • Maintain knowledge of current trends and developments in the field of developmental disabilities.
  • Serve as an on-call caregiver for other staff as needed.
  • Provide transportation for clients as needed.
  • Oversee the health needs of residents and follow-up with resident needs, facilitate resident medical appointments, physician’s recommendations, pharmacy needs, and appropriate family members as needed.
  • Monitor the physical environment of the assigned house with regard to safety, maintenance, and sanitation and ensure that these areas are addressed in a satisfactory manner.
  • Perform other duties as required.

  • Previous caregiving experience (preferred)
  • CBRF Certifications (preferred)
Education
  • Associate/Bachelors (Preferred)
License
  • Medication Administration (Preferred)
  • First Aid and Choking (Preferred)
  • Fire Safety (Preferred)
